Clarification Text on the Protection and Processing of Personal Data


1. Data Controller
As the Turkish Dyslexia Early Diagnosis and Education Foundation (“TUDIV” or “Foundation”), with the Enlightenment Text (“Clarification Text”) for processing in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (“KVK Law”) and other legislation provisions, Personal Data No. 6698 In accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (“KVK Law”), we would like to inform you in the capacity of Data Controller within the framework of our obligation to inform you under the PDP Law.
Within the scope of KVKK, personal data includes all kinds of information related to an identified or identifiable natural person (“Personal Data”) and a special type of sensitive personal data, such as race, ethnicity, political thought, philosophical belief, religion, sect or other beliefs, means data on clothing, association, foundation or union membership, health, sexual life, criminal conviction and security measures, and biometric and genetic data (“Special Quality Personal Data”). In this context, the definition of Personal Data also includes your Sensitive Personal Data.
Within the framework of this text, those who help in the fields of education, activities and support (communication, resource, office, project) without any financial gain from TUDIV are considered as our volunteers and we aim to enlighten our volunteers and volunteer candidates with this text.

2. Collection Method of Personal Data and Legal Reasons for Processing
Your personal data, in connection with your transactions with TUDIV and within the scope and purpose specified in Section 4 below,
automatically or non-automatically, verbally, in writing or electronically and through the following methods.
I. Applications you have made online through TUDIV official website,
ii. Your website visits, cookies used to recognize you,
iii. Social media channels, Google etc. use of search engines,
iv. Volunteer candidate information form and/or volunteer undertaking filled by you
The legal reasons for the processing of your Personal Data are as follows:
I. Having your express consent,
ii. clearly stipulated in the law,
iii. Processing personal data in connection with the establishment or performance of a contract,
iv. The person concerned has been made public by himself,
v. Data processing is mandatory for the establishment, exercise or protection of a right, and
vi. It is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms.

The legal reason for processing your Sensitive Personal Data is your explicit consent.

3. Information Collected
The personal data we collect from you (including but not limited to your name, surname, TR identity number, contact information, work and education life information, criminal record and health information) is proportional to our processing purposes set out in Section 4 below.

4. For What Purpose Personal Data Will Be Processed
Your Personal Data is processed by TUDIV for the following purposes, based on your express consent or in other cases permitted by law:
I. Reporting to sponsors
ii. To inform about the activities of the foundation
iii. To make your invitation to the foundation for the purpose of promotion and education of the foundation
iv. Organizing the tasks you will undertake and informing about the tasks
v. Evaluate the volunteering activities you will provide outside of educational services.
vi. Announcing vacancies or foundation activities
vii. Ensuring your accommodation and safety within the framework of the Foundation's activities
viii. Sharing volunteer stories on social media
ix. To guide you so that you can provide optional assistance in areas such as scientific research and thesis studies.
x. Keeping records in order to fulfill legal obligations and requests of administrative authorities
xi. To be able to measure the social impact of TUDIV on society

5. To Whom Personal Data Can Be Transferred And For What Purpose
TUDIV, your Personal Data, based on your express consent or in other cases permitted by law (and within the framework of the purposes specified in Article 4), in the country and abroad, storage, archiving, information technology support (hosting,
cloud computing, e-mail and other) providers, insurance and accommodation companies that cooperate and/or receive services, consultancy firms that receive support in legal and similar fields, and support third parties (SMS and e-mail) in other fields related to TUDIV's activities. sending, CRM system support, etc.) and other third parties, our business partners and authorized institutions and organizations (domestic or abroad) for which the transfer is required, and/or access can be opened.

6. Rights of the Personal Data Owner under Article 11 of the KVK Law
As a personal data owner, you can request your rights stated below from TUDIV, the data controller, at any time in accordance with Article 11 of the KVK Law.
The rights you have in this context are as follows:
I. Learning whether personal data is processed or not,
ii. If personal data has been processed, requesting information about it,
iii. Learning the purpose of processing personal data and whether they are used in accordance with its purpose,
iv. Knowing the third parties to whom personal data is transferred at home or abroad,
v. Requesting correction of personal data if it is incomplete or incorrectly processed,
vi. Requesting the deletion or destruction of personal data,
vii. Processes regarding the deletion or destruction of personal data to third parties to whom personal data are transferred
request notification,
viii. Objecting to the emergence of a result against the person himself by analyzing the processed data exclusively through automated systems,
ix. To request the compensation of the damage in case of loss due to unlawful processing of personal data.

The above-mentioned requests will be submitted to TUDIV as the data controller in writing or by other methods to be determined by the Personal Data Protection Board ("Board").
In this context, you can send your request regarding your rights above to our e-mail address, which may change from time to time, via your registered e-mail (KEP) address, with secure electronic signature, mobile signature or by using your e-mail address previously notified to the Foundation by you and registered in the Foundation's system ( by attaching the documents identifying your identity) or to our postal address below, which may change from time to time, with documents identifying your identity and a petition with a wet signature, or you can send it through a notary public.
What you will do to exercise your above-mentioned rights as a personal data owner, and
in the application containing explanations regarding the right you are requesting to use; It is necessary that the matter you request is clear and understandable, the subject you request is related to yourself or if you are acting on behalf of someone else, you must be specifically authorized in this regard and this authority must be documented, and the application must include your identity and address information. 

The Foundation concludes the requests included in the application as soon as possible and within thirty days at the latest (if there is no cost), free of charge, depending on the nature of the request. However, if the transaction requires an additional cost, the fee in the tariff to be determined by the Personal Data Protection Board may be charged. If the answers to the applications exceed 10 (ten) pages, a processing fee of 1.00 (one) TL will be charged for each page. If the answer is requested to be given in a recording medium such as CD, flash memory, a fee will be charged according to the cost of the requested recording medium.
